A Date Palm in Jannah
A man came to the Prophet ﷺ complaining that his neighbour had refused him a single date palm. Abu al-Dahdah heard the affair, sold his entire orchard to that neighbour for that one date palm, and gave the date palm to the needy man.
The Prophet ﷺ said:

’I Have Lent My Orchard to My Rabb’
When the verse — “Who is it that will lend to Allah a goodly loan, so He may multiply it for him many times over?” (al-Baqarah 245) — was revealed, Abu al-Dahdah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah! Does Allah ask of us a loan?
