At the Women’s Bay’a
After the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet ﷺ took the bay’a from the women — and Hind came among them. As each clause was recited she questioned it before accepting; and when the bay’a was complete she broke the idols of her household, saying:
“By Allah, it was because of you we were in delusion.” 1 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 3 · pp. 52–53 — Idris Kandhlawi — Hind bint Utba's conversion at the women's bay'a; she breaks her idols.
She had been among the few Quraysh women marked for execution at the conquest — and was forgiven with her people. 2 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 3 · pp. 68 — Idris Kandhlawi — Hind among the few Quraysh women initially marked then forgiven.
