The Boy Who Wrestled to Fight
“Samura ibn Jundub was one of the children who was refused by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. With an expression of deep sorrow, he lamented before his stepfather Mura’i ibn Sinan: ‘O father! Rafi’ (who is my contemporary) is permitted to join the army whilst I get left behind? I am far stronger than him and I am certain that I will overpower him in wrestling.’ Mura’i ibn Sinan went up to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and submitted… the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then called on both the youngsters to match their wits in wrestling. When Samura prevailed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted him as well.” 1 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 2 · pp. — — Idris Kandhlawi — Samura wrestles Rafi' to be allowed in the army.
The Dish That Did Not Run Out

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and all the Companions there ate and continued eating until it was almost time for Zuhr. They ate in turns…” He was asked, “Was more food being served all the time?” He replied: “Not from the earth, but definitely from the heavens.” 2 Hayatus Sahaba · Vol 3 · pp. — — Kandhlawi — Samura narrates the dish of tharid that did not run out.
