Sister of Ali, Cousin of the Prophet ﷺ
Umm Hani bint Abi Talib was the sister of Ali and daughter of Abu Talib, the Prophet’s ﷺ uncle. On the day of the conquest of Makkah, two of her in-laws fled to her house for refuge, and when her brother Ali wished to kill them, she sought the Prophet’s ﷺ ruling — and he came to her house, bathed, and prayed eight rak’ahs of the Duha prayer there. 1 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 1 · pp. 484 — Idris Kandhlawi — the Prophet bathes and prays the Duha in Umm Hani's house at the conquest and upholds her protection.
