The Tent of Rufayda

Mahmud ibn Labid reported: “When Sa’d ibn Mu’adh رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُHazrat Sa'd ibn Mu'adhرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُChief of the Aws; at whose death the Throne of the Most Merciful shookAnsar · People of Badr was struck by an arrow in his radial artery during the Battle of the Khandaq, he felt seriously ill. He was then placed in the care of a lady called Rufayda. The narration then continues to the point where it states that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard about Sa’d رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُHazrat Sa'd ibn Mu'adhرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُChief of the Aws; at whose death the Throne of the Most Merciful shookAnsar · People of Badr’s death, he rushed to the scene with the Companions…” — and the angels bathed Sa’d رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُHazrat Sa'd ibn Mu'adhرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُChief of the Aws; at whose death the Throne of the Most Merciful shookAnsar · People of Badr’s body. 1 Hayatus Sahaba · Vol 3 · pp. 548 — Kandhlawi — Sa'd ibn Mu'adh placed in Rufayda's care after his Khandaq wound.
